Human PF4 a 7.8kD protein consisting of 70 amino acid residues. PF4 is a member of the CXC chemocinfamily. Human PF4 is used for the proof of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia. Furthermore it is used as an inhibitor in the angiogenesis during tumor therapy. Amino Acid Sequence: The sequence of the first four N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Glu-Ala-Glu-Glu. Acivity Control: Binding of HIT-antibodies Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
