RhoC, also known as rho-related GTP-binding protein RhoC, is a small signaling G protein (more specifically a GTPase), and is a member of the Rac subfamily of the family Rho family of GTPases. It cycles between inactive GDP-bound and active GTP-bound states and function as molecular switches in signal transduction cascades. RhoC promotes reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton and regulate cell shape, attachment, and motility. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-190 of human RhoC protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
