| Smac/Diablo is one of the proapoptotic proteins. Smac promotes caspase activation in the cytochrome c/Apaf-1/caspase-9 pathway by binding to inhibitor of apoptosis proteins (IAPs) and removing their inhibitory activity. Recombinant human Smac fused to T7-tag at N-terminal domain was expressed in E. coli and purified by conventional chromatography techniques. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa56-239 from human Smac, fused to T7-tag at N-terminal domain, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~22kD (MALDI-TOF) Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
