Taurine Transporter (TAU-1) is a 10aa long integral membrane protein belonging to the Sodium: Neurotransmitter Symporter family, conjugated to KLH. Applications: Suitable for use in Antibody Blocking and ELISA. Not suitable for Western Blot due to low MW <3kD. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 50-100ng per well. Antibody Blocking: 5-10ug per 1ug of T1050-25 (affinity pure). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Species Sequence Homology: Mouse, 100%, human and canine, 90% bovine, 78% for TAU-1. No significant homology with other mouse TAUT-2. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
