CD281 is known as toll like receptor 1 (TLR1). TLRs recognize pathogen associated molecular patterns (PAMPs) that are expressed on infectious agents, and serve as an important link between the innate and adaptive immune response through the production of cytokines. TLR1 is co-expressed with TLR2 on monocytes and dendritic cells where they form heterodimers that can recognize peptidoglycan and bacterial lipopeptides, and in particular triacylated lipoproteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (frozen): 10ug/ml Western Blot: 1-4ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Mouse speen tissue Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
