Peptide corresponding to an 14aa sequence near the N-terminus of human TLR2. Epitope: the first 50aa of TLR2.
Toll Like Receptor 2 (TLR2) is a 90kD type 1 transmembrane protein that is primarily expressed by peripheral blood monocytes. TLR2 is also expressed in the spleen, bone marrow and lymph nodes. TLR2 is reported to respond to a diverse range of bacterial cell wall components, mediating the innate immune response in co-operation with MD-2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml, Detected a band of ~100kD in A-20 cell lysates. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 2ug/ml. Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended. Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human spleen Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
