Peptide corresponding to an 14aa sequence near the N-terminus of human TLR2. Epitope: the first 50aa of TLR2.
Toll Like Receptor 2 (TLR2) is a 90kD type 1 transmembrane protein that is primarily expressed by peripheral blood monocytes. TLR2 is also expressed in the spleen, bone marrow and lymph nodes. TLR2 is reported to respond to a diverse range of bacterial cell wall components, mediating the innate immune response in co-operation with MD-2. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: detected a band of ~100kD in A-20 cell lysates. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human spleen Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
