Immunogen: Peptide corresponding to an 14aa sequence near the N-terminus of human TLR2. Epitope: the first 50aa of TLR2.
Toll Like Receptor 2 (TLR2) is a 90kD type 1 transmembrane protein that is primarily expressed by peripheral blood monocytes. TLR2 is also expressed in the spleen, bone marrow and lymph nodes. TLR2 is reported to respond to a diverse range of bacterial cell wall components, mediating the innate immune response in co-operation with MD-2. Applications: Suitable for use in FLISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: detected a band of ~100kD in A-20 cell lysates. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin): Requires antigen retrieval using heat treatment prior to staining paraffin sections. Sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0 is recommended. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Human spleen Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
