Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) or Apo-2 ligand is a cytokine that belongs to TNF family and induces apoptosis of tumor cells by binding to its receptors, TRAIL R1 (DR4) and TRAIL R2 (DR5). Both Receptors contain death domains and two decoy receptors TRAIL-R3 (DcR1) and TRAIL-R4 (DcR2) that inhibit TRAIL function. TRAIL induces apoptosis and NF?B activation in many tissues and cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100 Western Blot: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
