Transferrin is an iron binding glycoprotein which plays an important role in transporting iron from the intestine, reticuloendothelial system, and liver parenchymal cells to all proliferating cells in the body. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:10,000-1:100,000 Western Blot: 1:10,000-1:100,000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
