Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to ASGILVNVKEEVTC, from the N-terminal of human TRIM5 (NP_149023.1, NP_149083.1, NP_149084.1).
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the tripartite motif (TRIM) family. The TRIM motif includes three zinc-binding domains, a RING, a B-box type 1 and a B-box type 2, and a coiled-coil region. The protein localizes to cytoplasmic bodies. Its function has not been identified. Five alternatively spliced transcript variants for this gene have been described. However, the full length nature of two of the variants has not been determined. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:16,000 Western Blot: 2-6ug/ml, detects a band at ~38kD in human plancenta and human uterus lysates Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
