Synthetic peptide corresponding to a portion of amino acids within aa769-796 from human TrkA (P04629), conjugated to KLH.
TRKA (also known as NTRK1)is a member of the neurotrophic tyrosine kinase receptor (NTKR) family. This kinase is a membrane-bound receptor that, upon neurotrophin binding, phosphorylates itself and members of the MAPK pathway. The presence of this kinase leads to cell differentiation and may play a role in specifying sensory neuron subtypes. Mutations in the TRKA gene have been associated with congenital insensitivity to pain, anhidrosis, self-mutilating behavior, mental retardation and cancer. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Indirect Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:1000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:50 Indirect Flow Cytometry: 1:10-1:50 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
