NS0-derived recombinant human Trypsin 2 encoded by the PRSS2 gene (Ala16-Ser247). Species sequence homology: mouse and rat-78%.
Trypsin 2 is a serine protease secreted by the pancreas and cleaved to its active form in the small intestine. Trypsin 2 consists of a signal peptide (residues 1-15), a pro region (residues 16-23), and a proteolytically active mature chain (residues 24-247). The amino acid sequence of human trypsin 2 is 78% identical to that of mouse and rat. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunoprecipitation: 1.25ug/ml/500ug cell lysate with human pancreas tissue Western Blot: 2ug/ml. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
