Purified human brain a-Tubulin. The epitope recognized by this antibody has been mapped to aa426-450 (AALEKDYEEVGVDSVEGEGEEEGEE).
Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.1-1ug/ml detected a-Tubulin in RIPA lysates from A431, L6 cells and rat whole brain tissue. A431 cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with anti-a-Tubulin (0.1ug/ml). Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP and a chemiluminescence detection system. Arrow indicates a-Tubulin (~50kD). Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Included Positive Antigen Control: Non-stimulated A431 lysate. Add 2.5ul of 2-mercaptoethanol/100ul of lysate and boil for 5 minutes to reduce the preparation. Load 20ug of reduced lysate per lane for minigels. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
