The antibody has been used in epitope tagging procedures to detect proteins tagged with a C-terminal Gly-Gly-Phe epitope. These sequence requirements have been reported to result in some cross-reactivity with other proteins in certain circumstances, including E. coli rec A and oxidized actin (5). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1:100-1:1000. Suitable for use as a loading control. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Labeled with horseradish peroxidase (HRP). Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates. HRP conjugates are sensitive to light.
