g-tubulin is a 51kD member of the tubulin superfamily and is conserved between yeast and mammals. This cytoskeletal protein is highly expressed in centrosomes and is thought to be involved in cytoskeletal organization and mitosis. g-tubulin is expressed at highest levels during prophase to metaphase and can be modified by phosphorylation. This protein has been shown to interact with a-tubulin, paxillin, and RAC GTPase activated protein 1. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunocytochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml (1:500-1:1000) Immunocytochemistry: 2.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt.
