Purified, E. coli-derived recombinant human TNF-a, Gly57-Leu233 (predicted).
Tumor Necrosis Factor alpha (TNF-a) is a potent immunomodulator and proinflammatory cytokine. The secreted form of TNF-a is 17kD while the membrane form (mTNF-a) has a molecular weight of 26kD. Secreted TNF-a appears to be generated from the precursor mTNF-a. 1 Membrane TNF-a has been described on the surface of monocytes and activated T lymphocytes. This anti-TNF-a monoclonal antibody recognizes mTNF-a transfected into a cell line, and is designed for use as a flow cytometry reagent. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 12 months at 4C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
