Human recombinant tumor necrosis factor of alpha type.
TNF-a is a macrophage/monocyte cytokine, usually found as a soluble secreted protein, which has diverse immunomodulatory, anti-tumor and toxic effects. Neutralizes the recombinant TNF-a mediated cytotoxicity of L929 cells and inhibits the tumor growth in mice. Protects mice against the toxicity of recombinant human TNF-a. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, ELISA and Inhibition of biological activity of TNFa in different biological fluids. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Immunohistochemistry: Formalin-fixed frozen tissues Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Matched Pairs: Capture: T9160-32A Detection: T9160-18A Hybridoma: X63.Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
