Ubiquitin is a highly-conserved small protein expressed in all eukaryotes. It is involved in a post-translation modification of proteins called ubiquitination of proteins by the covalent attachment (via an isopeptide bond) of one or more than one ubiquitin monomers. Ubiqutination controls the protein degradation, stability and intracellular localization of many proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 0.12-0.5ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
