Recombinant protein derived from an internal region of human Ubiquilin
Ubiquilin is a recently discovered protein that is involved in early onset Alzheimers disease. Ubiquilin binds to and promotes aggregation of presenilin proteins. Although the Ubiquilin protein contains ubiquitin-like domains, Ubiquilin appears to increase presenilin synthesis, rather than affect presenilin turnover. Ubiquilin is found in neuropathological lesions that are characteristic of Alzheimers and Parkinsons diseases. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
