Ubiquitination requires a ubiquitin-activating enzyme, a ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme, and usually a substrate-specific ubiquitin-protein ligase. Multiubiquitination needs a fourth factor, to bind to the ubiquitin moieties of preformed conjugates and catalyze ubiquitin chain assembly in conjunction with the first three proteins.1 Human protein KIAA0126, with a predicted 1,073aa residues, is a member of the novel protein family defined by ubiquitination conjugation factor E4.2 In yeast, E4 activity is linked to cell survival under stress conditions, indicating that eucaryotes use E4-dependent proteolysis pathways for multiple cellular functions. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:100-1:200 Immunohistochemistry: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
