Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa300-350 of human UBE1L2/MOP-4.
UBE1L2 is a novel E1 enzyme specific for ubiquitin and belongs to the ubiquitin-activating E1 family. It is a part of the cascade to attach ubiquitin (Ub) covalently to substrate proteins. It activates ubiquitin by first adenylating its carboxy-terminal glycine residue with ATP and then linking this residue to the side chain of a cysteine residue in E1, yielding an ubiquitin-E1 thioester and free AMP. Its isoforms influence spermatogenesis and male fertility. It is highly expressed in human monocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (paraffin): 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Daudi and RAW cell lysate Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
