Recombinant protein corresponding to Phe22-Gly104 of mouse UGRP2 expressed in E. coli (Q920D7). Species Sequence Homology: 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human HIN-1
UGRP-2 is an 8kD member of the secretoglobulin family of molecules. It is synthesized as a 104aa precursor that contains a 21aa signal sequence and an 83aa mature region. There are no potential N-linked glycosylation sites. Based on other members of the family, HIN-1 is likely to exist as a disulfide-linked homodimer. The molecule is found in mammary and upper airway epithelium. Mature mouse HIN-1 shares 60% aa sequence identity with mature human HIN-1. Applications: Suitable for use in direct ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 1ug/ml using lysates of rat lung tissue Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
