Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa95-108 (GKPIPNPLLGLDST) of RNA polymerase alpha subunit of simion virus 5 (KLH).
V5 is used to detect recombinant proteins, some of which include transmembrane and secreted proteins, which have been tagged with this epitope. The V5 epitope tag is derived from an epitope present on the P and V proteins of the paramyxovirus of simian virus 5 (SV5). Usually the V5 tag is used with all 14aa (GKPIPNPLLGLDST), although it has also been used with a shorter 9aa sequence (IPNPLLGLD). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:100-1:500 (Coating). 1:1000-1:10,000 (Primary) Western Blot: 1:1000-1:10,000 Immunohistochemistry: 1:100-1:400 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
