VAMP5, also known as vesicle-associated membrane protein 5, is a member of the synaptobrevin family and the SNARE superfamily. VAMP5 is the main components of a protein complex involved in the docking and/or fusion of vesicles and cell membranes. This protein may participate in a trafficking events that is associated with myogenesis, such as myoblast fusion and/or GLUT4 trafficking. Source: Recombinant Vamp5 protein, expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: 12.7kD (109aa) AA Sequence: MRGSHHHHHH GMASMTGGQQ MGRDLYDDDD KDRWGSHMAG IELERCQQQA NEVTEIMRNN FGKVLERGVK LAELQQRSDQ LLDMSSTFNK TTQNLAQKKC WENIRYRIC Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
