A 20aa peptide mapping within the C-terminus, cytoplasmic domain of rat/mouse VAT conjugated to KLH. Species sequence homology: human-93%, monkey-91%.
Acetylcholine transferase synthesizes the neurotransmitter acetylcholine (ACh) from choline and acetyl CoA. ACh is packaged and stored into synaptic vesicles until its release. ACh is hydrolyzed by acetylcholine esterase (AChE) to yield choline and acetate. Choline is taken up by the high affinity VAChT/VAT located at the membrane and recycled for synthesis of ACh. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Western Blot, though not tested, may potentially be used as an application. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-1ug/ml. Control peptide can be used to coat ELISA plates at 1ug/ml. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Control Peptide: V2121-86C: Vesicular Acetylcholine Transporter, Rat, Control Peptide (VAChT) Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1906: IgY Pab Rb x Ch I1906-01: IgY, Fc (HRP) Pab Gt x Ch I1906-10: IgY (HRP) Pab Rb x Ch I1906-12: IgY (FITC) Pab Rb x Ch I1906-14: IgY (AP) Pab Rb x Ch Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C.
