Immunogen: Synthetic peptide (CQSYPIGDDEESESD-OH) corresponding to the C-terminus of rat VMAT2 (BSA).
The vesicular monoamine transporter is responsible for the vesicular uptake of monoamines, like dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine, serotonin and histamine. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence Microscopy and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:2000-1:3000 using FITC secondary antibody, Incubation overnight at 4C. 10-100ug immunogen per ml diluted antiserum abolishes staining. Immunofluorescence Microscopy: 1:2000-1:3000 Western Blot: 1:500, Using a crude synaptic vesicle fraction of rat brain, a 70kD band is recognized. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Positive Control: IHC-T5595-7163: Rat small intestine Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
