Purified recombinant vimentin (Vm) produced in bacteria. This protein constitutes a 20kD fragment from the amino-terminus of vimentin.
Vimentin is one of the five major groups of intermediate filaments, a distinct class of cytosekeltal proteins, occurring in mesenchymal cells. Localized vimentin can be detected in fibroblasts, endothelial cells, lymphoid tissues, and melanocytes. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Immunoelectrophoresis (IEP). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
