Immunogen:
An C-terminal synthetic peptide made to the human ChREBP protein sequence (between residues 800-852).
ChREBP is a transcription factor involved in activating genes that encode enzymes of fatty acid biosynthesis in liver and adipose. This protein may have relevance to lipid metabolism, obesity, and type II diabetes. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry (formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: a band is seen corresponding to the theoretical molecular weight of human ChREBP of ~95kD. Immunoprecipitation: chromatin Optimal dilution determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Store at 2-8C. Do Not Freeze! Aliquots are stable for at least 3 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Sodium azide is a potent inhibitor of peroxidase and should not be added to HRP conjugates.
