Wilms Tumor (WT), a sporadic and familial childhood kidney tumor, is genetically heterogeneous. Wilms tumor is associated with mutations of WT1, a zinc-finger transcription factor that is essential for the development of the metanephric kidney and the urogenital system. The WT1 gene is normally expressed in fetal kidney and mesothelium, and its expression has been suggested as a marker for Wilms tumor and mesothelioma. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5-1ug/ml detects WT1 in RIPA lysates from Jurkat and Raji cells. Raji cell lysate was resolved by electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose and probed with W1125-11A. Proteins were visualized using a goat anti-mouse secondary antibody conjugated to HRP* and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunocytochemistry: Reported to detect WT1 in mesothelioma cells. Immunohistochemistry: Reported to detect WT1 in malignant mesothelioma sections. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. *Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt x Mo I1904-06H: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt x Mo I1904-14C: IgG, Fc (HRP) Pab Gt x Mo I1904-19C: IgG, F(ab)2 (HRP) Pab Gt x Mo Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only.
