Product Description

Alternate formulation of the YPD series media, formulated with Peptone Y (casein digest, tryptone), useful for yeast propagation and plating of mutants and transformants. Also includes the addition of an adenine hemisulfate supplement to a final 1X concentration of 120mg/L. The adenine supplement prevents yeast strains harboring ADE1 and ADE2 mutations (e.g. Y2HGold, AH109, and Y187) from turning pink/red after extended growth.
