Immunogen:
Synthetic peptide corresponding to 18aa at N-terminal, extracellular domain of mouse ZIP6, conjugated to KLH.
The ZIP6 gene (LIV-1) was isolated in an effort to identify the estrogen-regulated genes in a human breast cancer cell line, ZR- 75-1. The mRNA expression of ZIP6 was upregulated about 4-fold in the presence of 10-8 M estradiol in culture medium. ZIP6 protein also contains a ubiquitin binding site. ZIP6 rat: 741aa, human: 749aa, mouse: 765aa - 86kD, human Chromosome: 18A2. Highly expressed in the brain and testis. In the brain strongly expressed in the CA1 and CA3 regions, Purkinje cells in cerebellum and dentate gyrus in hippocampus. In testis found in spermatids or mature sperms in the central areas of seminiferous tubules. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:100,000 using 50-100ng control peptide/well Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: Z0510-08A: Zinc Transporter ZIP6, Control Peptide (Solute Carrier Family 39 Member 6, Estrogen-regulated Protein LIV-1, Zrt- and Irt-like Protein 6, ZIP-6, SLC39A6, ZIP6, LIV1) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
