A fluorescent reagent and indicator of intracellular zinc ions. An analogue of widely used indicator, TS-Q. Zinquin ethyl ester is membrane permeable therefore useful to detect intracellular zinc ions. Zinquin ethyl ester forms a complex with a zinc ion with two nitrogen atoms in the structure. Used for studying the role of zinc in apoptosis. Fluorescence: max. Abs. l = 368nm, max. Em. l = 490nm CAS Number: 181530-09-6 Melting Point: 112-114C Solubility: Chloroform (Slightly), Dichlormethane (Slightly), DMSO (Slightly), Methanol (Slightly) Storage and Stability: May be stored at RT for short-term only. Long-term storage is recommended at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
