ZMPSTE24 is a zinc metalloprotease similar to yeast Ste24p. It is an integral membrane protein belonging to peptidase family M48 and is found in the endoplasmic reticulum and possibly in the Golgi compartment. It is thought to be involved in the proteolytic processing of farnesylated proteins. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:128,000 Western Blot: 0.5-1.5ug/ml, observed in human skin lysates on ~55kD bands Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
