IL-4 is a pleiotropic cytokine produced by activated T cells, mast cells, and basophils. It serves as a potent lymphocyte growth factor that stimulates the growth and activation of certain B and T cells. IL-4 plays a critical role in regulating the development of T helper cell subsets.

Flow cytometry: 1X10 6 Th2-polarized C57BL/6 mouse splenocytes ( treated with 50ng/ml PMA + 1ug/ml Ionomycin + 1ug/ml Brefeldin A or 2uM Monensin for 6 hours ) were surface-stained with ABflo 450 Rabbit anti-Mouse CD4 mAb (A25941,5 µl/Test) , then intracellularly-stained with APC Rabbit IgG isotype control (A24173,5 µl/Test,left) and APC Rabbit anti-Mouse IL4 mAb (A28267,0.5 µg,right).
