Antileukinate is an acetylated, amidated hexapeptide antagonist of the CXCR2 chemokine receptor. It blocks IL-8 binding and neutrophil activation in vitro (Ki = 2.7-13 µM) and demonstrates protective effects in vivo, such as reducing acute pancreatitis and associated lung injury in mouse models at 53 mg/kg.
