Dothiepin facilitates noradrenergic neurotransmission via inhibiting the neuronal uptake. Dothiepin is also an antagonist of histamine H1-receptor without cardiotoxicity. Dothiepin exhibits significant analgesic activity in psychogenic facial pain,idiopathic fibromyalgia syndrome or rheumatoid arthritis[1].
