ClpP modulator-1 is a peptidomimetic and an allosteric ClpP modulator. At low concentrations, ClpP modulator-1 acts as a ClpP activator, with EC50 values of 0.35 µM and 0.58 µM against Neisseria meningitides ClpP (NmClpP) and Escherichia coli ClpP (EcClpP), respectively. At high concentrations, ClpP modulator-1 also inhibits peptidase activity by competitively blocking the binding of substrate protein (LY-AMC) to the ClpP C-site. ClpP modulator-1 can be used in bacterial infection research[1].
