Synucleozid-2.0 is a small-molecule inhibitor targeting the iron-responsive element (IRE) structure in the 5 untranslated region (5UTR) of SNCA mRNA. Synucleozid-2.0 inhibits ribosome assembly onto SNCA mRNA and selectively reduces alpha-synuclein protein translation. Synucleozid-2.0 is promising for research of Parkinsons disease (PD) and related alpha-synucleinopathies[1].
