MXRA8 is a transmembrane protein that complexly regulates signaling pathways likely by interacting with the integrin ITGAV:ITGB3. It mediates heterophil-cell interactions, inhibits osteoclastogenesis through TNFSF11/RANKL and CSF1, and inhibits VEGF-induced activation of AKT and p38 MAP kinase.
