Dihydronicotinamide riboside is one of the precursors of NAD+ (HY-B0445) and mediates multiple signaling pathways. Dihydronicotinamide riboside increases NAD+ levels in cells and mitochondria, and maintains the survival of normal/neuronal cells under the action of NAD+-depleting genotoxins. In cancer cells, dihydronicotinamide riboside induces apoptosis, triggering ROS burst and mitochondrial dysfunction. In macrophages, dihydronicotinamide riboside activates the IKK-NF-kappaB pathway and induces the pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype[1][2][3].
