Product Description

Ouabagenin, aglycone precursor of Ouabain (HY-B1457), is a LXR ligand. Ouabagenin shows agonistic effect on the transactivation function of both LXRalpha and LXRbeta. Ouabagenin inhibits Na,K-ATPase ion pump activity with pH-dependent inhibitory. Ouabagenin downregulates ENaC subunit expression in renal cells and mouse kidney. Ouabagenin does not upregulate lipogenesis-related genes in liver cells or induce hepatic steatosis in mice[1][2].
