The immunogen has been prepared from sera of patients with hepatitis using gel filtration Freunds complete adjuvant is used in the first step of the immunization procedure.

Application Notes:
Precipitation assays. In counter electrophoresis use opposite holes at a distance of 4mm with 6 µl antiserum and serum samples. In double radial immunodiffusion use a rosette arrangement with 10 µl antiserum in 3 mm diameter center well and 2 µl plasma samples (neat and serially diluted) in 2 mm diameter peripheral wells. The distance between the wells should be 2-3 mm. In case the concentration of the protein component is significantly increased or reduced, the required equivalence between the reactants can be establish by increasing the amount of antiserum or antigen respectively.
