DFPQ is a powerful and selective beta-arrestin-biased negative allosteric modulator(NAM) targeting the beta2-adrenergic receptor. It specifically inhibits the interaction of beta-arrestin with beta2AR without altering beta-agonist-induced cAMP production. Additionally, DFPQ reduces functional desensitization of the beta2AR in airway smooth muscle, enhancing beta-agonists capacity to maintain bronchorelaxation and curbing cell migration during prolonged beta-agonist treatment.
