CDDO Methyl Ester is a synthetic triterpenoid that inhibits IkappaBalpha kinase and enhances apoptosis induced by TNF and chemotherapeutic agents through down-regulation of expression of nuclear factor kappaB-regulated gene products in human leukemic cells. CDDO Methyl Ester is a novel therapeutic agent in the treatment of acute myeloid leukemia and in the treatment of pancreatic cancer as well as other forms of cancer.
