To note, the same fraction does not induce significant change in heart rate. Has weak hemolytic activity. Is lethal to crayfish. Causes cutaneous inflammation in humans. May act as a pore-forming toxin, disrupting normal transmembrane ion concentration gradients in susceptible cells.
