Immunogen: Recombinant protein corresponding to the full length sequence of human VHR expressed in E. coli.
Vaccinia Virus VH1-related phosphatase (VHR), also known as dual-specificity phosphatase 3 (DUSP3), dephosphorylates a variety of substrates at serine, threonine, and tyrosine residues. VHR has been shown to dephosphorylate the mitogen-activated protein kinases ERK1, ERK2, and JNK, but not p38. Phosphorylation of VHR at Y138 by ZAP70 enhances the inhibition of ERK2, suggesting a role for VHR in modulating T-cell receptor signaling. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml with lysates of TE-85 human osteogenic sarcoma cell line, TF-1 human erythroleukemic cell line, and C2C12 mouse myoblast cell line. Conducted under reducing conditions. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Recommended Secondary Antibodies: I1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt x Mo I1904-06H: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt x Mo Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
