Dark Reader transilluminators and hand lamps

Clare Chemical offers Dark Reader transilluminators and hand lamps. They reveal fluorescent DNA, RNA, proteins and other biological samples using a revolutionary combination of a visible light source and two color filters.

 

Transilluminators

Clare Chemical Research's Dark Reader blue transilluminators use pure visible blue light as the excitation source and there is NO damaging and dangerous ultra-violet radiation to worry about. Dark Reader blue light transilluminators can be used for viewing a wide range of fluorescent samples including SYBR Green, GelStar, GelGreen, SYPRO Ruby, ProQ Diamond, fluorescein and various GFPs.

Dark Reader Hand Lamp

All Dark Reader Lamps from Clare Chemical use pure visible blue light as the excitation source and there is NO damaging and dangerous UV radiation to worry about. The blue light is especially suited for following fluorophors such as GFP and RFP as well as DNA stains such as GelGreen and GelStar. The Hand Lamp (HL34T) smoothly illuminates an area about 20 cm diameter (from a distance of 30 cm) and is ideal for use with bigger gels and larger samples in general.

The new Dark Reader Spot Lamp (SL10S) generates a narrower beam about twice as intense as the Hand Lamp and covers an area about 5 cm in diameter – useful for minigels and smaller samples.

Viridi DNA Stains

Viridi Easy DNA Stain is the 6x gel loading buffer formulation of Viridi that is added directly to the DNA sample just before loading onto the gel. It’s very quick and easy!
