The Norwegian company Lybe Scientific is based on patent pending technology originating from strong research groups within molecular medicine, nanotechnology and chemical engineering at The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) located in Trondheim, Norway.

Lybe Scientific's NAxtra™ nucleic acid extraction kit is specifically designed to recover RNA from viral particles contained in viral transport media (VTM). The kit is based on magnetic bead technology, ensuring sensitive and high quality recovery of nucleic acids for down-stream applications within in vitro diagnostics. The kit contents NAxtra™ Lysis Buffer and NAxtra™ Magnetic Beads may also be bought separately.
