VECTASHIELD® Antifade Mounting Media for IF

VECTASHIELD® next generation mounting medium for immunofluorescence (IF) stainings is offered in setting and non-setting formulations with a choice of counterstain or no counterstain. All Vectashield Mounting Media share an ideal refractive index and easy application, and don't need sealing of coverslips.

VECTASHIELD PLUS Antifade Mounting Medium is a unique, stable formula for preserving fluorescence. VECTASHIELD PLUS Mounting Medium inhibits rapid photobleaching of fluorescent proteins and fluorescent dyes. The original VECTASHIELD PLUS Mounting Medium does not solidify, but remains a liquid on the slide and can be stored without sealing. If desired, coverslips can be sealed around the perimeter with nail polish or a plastic sealant. Mounted slides should be stored at 2-8 °C, protected from light.

VECTASHIELD Vibrance Antifade Mounting Media are completely new formulations of curing (hard setting) antifade mounting media for immunofluorescence applications. These newest additions to our VECTASHIELD portfolio were developed with customer feedback to improve on parameters such as ease of use and retention of specific staining intensity over time. VECTASHIELD Vibrance Antifade Mounting Media are new tools to help investigators see more and do more with each experiment.

VectaMount® Mounting Media for Immunohistochemistry

VectaMount Mounting Medium (VEC-H-5000) is an optically clear and odorless formula for permanently preserving histochemical stains or precipitable enzyme substrates in tissue sections or cell preparations. VectaMount Mounting Medium contains no toluene or xylene.

Compatible with horseradish peroxidase, alkaline phosphatase, and glucose oxidase substrates
Refractive index: 1.49 when dry

VectaMount AQ Mounting Medium (VEC-H-5501) is a hardsetting mounting medium developed for use with enzymatic substrates, such as AEC, ImmPACT® AEC, and ImmPACT AMEC Red, whose reaction products are soluble in alcohol or other organic solvents. In applications where aqueous mounting is preferred, VectaMount AQ is suitable for use with other substrates such as DAB, Vector® SG, BCIP/NBT, Vector Red, ImmPACT Vector Red, Vector Blue, ImmPACT DAB, ImmPACT DAB EqV, and ImmPACT SG.
